Despite missing most of the stars that helped them clinch victory in last yearcâ¬â?cs Inter-Faculty Games Gala, the College of Education and Long Distance Learning is more than determined to defend the universitycâ¬â?cs most prestigious sporting accolade that kicks off on Thursday this week.
According to the College of Education Sports Minister, Esther Nandawula, the team has been preparing for this yearcâ¬â?cs gala through intensive training in all ball games since the semester begun which she thinks will provide them a better shield to topple any team that dares their throne.
câ¬Ë?câ¬â?cWe actually begun training at the beginning of the semester which means we are more than ready to face any team in various sporting activities that the sports department has shortlisted,câ¬â?ccâ¬â?c said Esther.
She added that although most of their stars who featured in last yearcâ¬â?cs triumph graduated and left KIU, the current team is also good enough to reminisce their exploits.
The College of Education is grouped with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty Post Graduates in Group A for soccer while they wait to confirm with the Sports Department by Thursday morning about how they are to be categorized in the rest of the activities.
The three-day Inter-Faculty Gala kicks off at 9:00 AM on Thursday February 13th with Netball and darts according to the road map released by the Sports Department of Kampala International University.
