The department of Political and Administrative studies is charged with the responsibility of training individuals to take up positions in government, international organisations, diplomatic services and many more fields and professions.
Staff of the department work tireless to achieve and maintain quality teaching, promoting research collaborations and publications in order to ensure that we are keeping our students abreast of the latest topical issues in the field of Political and Administrative studies as well as providing solutions to established and emerging issues while ensuring our students are positioned to compete in the global market.
To broaden the minds and horizons of our students, we try to instill in them reading habits, and inquisitive spirit and a solution oriented mindset. The department is equipped with state of the art library and facilities to help facilitate this process.
The department has over 20 highly competent researchers and lecturers who are positioned to not just teach but guide our students throughout their academic journey.
The department of Public Administrative and Development Studies acknowledges a fact that Social scientists generally and public servants or administrators specifically, regardless of their level of expertise, ought to possess generic competence as a result of their training. It is in this spirit therefore that this Department is duty-bound to provide the learners with the basic as well as advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of their respective specialization i.e. degree and diploma programmes or certificate, and expose them to better understanding of the various factors that influence (or have influenced) modern approaches to social science.
