School of Allied Health Sciences Gets new Leaders

School of Allied Health Sciences Gets new Leaders

KIU, Western Campus – Students from the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) at KIU Western Campus on February 18 voted for their new leaders.

The students voted for their new president, vice-president, Speaker. Sports and education ministers, Public Relations Officer and class representatives.

Ray Maxwell Odongo (in the photo) trounced Filimon Mugisha by 351 votes to 243 to become the new president while Caroline Naturinda was voted the new vice-president after beating Emily Tumuhirwe by 303 votes to 247.

Sophie Kisakye won the Speakership in a landslide 372 to 192 votes win over Obed Atukunda, and Sayan Wantama was unopposed and became the new Public Relations Officer.

Colline Ofula Mangeni was voted the new Sports Minister while Maria Nandawula became the new Education Minister.Odongo was over the moon after his win and thanked his fellow students who voted for him.

“I am very, very happy with nthis win and I thank all those who voted for me. I promise not to let them down and I will repay the trust vested in me by working hard to make SAHS better,” Odongo said.
