Commercial transcends professional legal practice and the business world - to a wide range of areas of business law including: insolvency law mergers and acquisitions, business schemes and development, national and international trade, and dispute resolution.
The Commercial Law Department of Kampala International Law Faculty of Law has built a reputation in teaching and researching in different aspects of Commercial Law at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The department has got expertise in Intellectual Property Law, Company Law, Energy Transactions Revenue and Tax Law, Competition Law, Labour Law and Regional Integration Law .The Head of Department is Mrs Kulthum Kamugisha assisted by coordinators of teaching and learning as well as coordinators of Research The Department is to home Research Cluster on Economic Law and Society Research Initiative under the Office of the Research Coordinator for the Department under Dr Tajudeen Sanni.
