Dr. Maria Mbatudde is a Doctor of Philosophy in Botany and she is a lecturer at Kampala International University.
She served as the Head of Physical Sciences Department, Kampala International University (2015 – 2017).
Dr. Maria also worked with Makerere University Herbarium as a Plant Taxonomist between 2005- 2015 and a Data base entry and Digitization at with the Visual plants (BIOTA) project in March 2006 –2007.
Dr. Maria is an Associate at Environmental Surveys, Information, Planning and Policy Systems (ESIPPS International LTD) since 2015.
She as well worked on Identification of selected tree species (52 species) in Mabira, Budongo, Mt. Elgon National Park; Uganda, Kakamega forest in Kenya and Monduli Forest in Tanzania.
She has a PhD of Philosophy in Botany from Makerere University, Data analysis in Hohenheim University, Stutgart Germany in 2015, a Master of Science in Botany (Plant Taxonomy) Makerere University 2005, and a Bachelor of Science (Bot, Zoo, Psy) Makerere University 2001.
She has 11 published works and has supervised 11 PhD and Masters students.
