Mr. Mansour Arbab Younis is an assistant lecturer at Kampala International University.
Mr. Arbab also works as a Consultant at Corporate Academy at Virtual University and a Lecturer at Africa Graduate University (AGU). He worked as the Director of Distance learning and Week-end program (2017) and the Director of school of post graduate (2018) at Stafford University. Between 2010-2016, he served as a Political Advisor at South Sudan’s Embassy in Uganda.
He is a peace activist on Sudan’s political instabilities, specialized in Darfur, South Kurdufan, and the Blue Nile armed conflict and other related cases in Sudan as a special and Africa continent as general, offering sixteen (16) years experience as human rights defender, peace activist, communicator, and negotiator, working closely with joint mediation team of United Nations and African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) to reach durable, sustainable and comprehensive peace in Darfur and other war zones in Sudan.
Well known and well connected to the regional and international peace and security architectures.
He has also been working for over decade on various projects like Darfur peace efforts, as a team-member of peace process and negotiation in Darfur from 2003 up to 2015, Addis Ababa-Ethiopia consultations 2013-2015, Doha-Qatar peace-talks rounds 2010 – 2011, Ndjamena – Chad peace-talks round March 2004 – 2008, Sirt – Libya peace-talks round 2007, Triply – Libya Darfur-Darfur dialogue, December 2004 – January 2005 and Abuja – Nigeria peace-talks round, September and December 2004.
He is a PhD candidate at Nkumba University. He holds a Master of conflict resolution and peace-building from Kampala International University and a Master of Security studies awarded by Cavendish University Uganda.
Mr. Arbab also has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy, from Cavendish University Uganda, a Diploma in Power Engineering from Sudan University for Science and Technology, Khartoum, Sudan and Diploma in Operations and Control of High Voltages in petroleum Refineries, El-Dora Institute Baghdad – Iraq.
He has also got a number of trainings and certificates in Administrative Law, International Public Relations, NGOs Management and Development, Peace and Conflict Management, and Democracy and Good Governance all from Cavendish University Uganda in 2014.
