Mr. Johnson Oryem is a lawyer and also a lecturer in the school of Law at Kampala International University since 2016.
Mr. Oryem has also been a lecturer in the school of law in a number of Universities like, Busoga University (2015 – 2016), Kyambogo University and Busoga University 2017– 2019.
He holds a Master of Laws (LLM), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) awarded by Makerere University in 2012 and 1999 respectively. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice awarded by Law Development Centre (Uganda) and Diploma in Theological and Philosophical Studies awarded by Alokolum National Major Seminary - Gulu, Uganda. In 2014, Johnson Oryem pursued a Certificate Course in International Peace Keeping Operation at Defense Institute, Rhodes Island (USA).
Mr. Oryem served as a Legal Officer under Ministry of Defence (Uganda) from 2001 – 2010 and in the African Union in the Peace Keeping Mission in Somalia under AMISOM between 2012 – 2014.
He was born on 1st October, 1960 in Gulu District of northern Uganda. He is a married man with five children and a devoted Christian.
He has love for reading law corrections but besides practicing law, he also has an interest in Games and sports.
