Dr Mwesigye (PhD) is a lecturer of Public Administration and has a couple of publications within his areas of specialty. He has attended and presented at several local and international conferences and remains actively involved in research. He is experienced in lecturing graduate - and also, knowledgeable in administration of Public Service institutions. His academic interests and competences are in areas of Public Sector Management, Governance, Public Policy Administration and Management, programme & Project planning, monitoring and evaluation, Institutional Leadership and Management, Administration and Organizational Theory, Gender, Politics and Development, and Development Management. Dr Mwesigye has a multidisciplinary academic background having successfully completed his PhD (record time) in Public Administration from the School of Government (SOG), University of Western Cape in South Africa. He has a Master’s in Public Administration (majoring in development management) from the School of Government (SOG), University of the Western Cape. He also has Honors degree in Development Studies from the Institute for Social Development (ISD) University of the Western Cape; and lastly, Bachelors of Arts with Diploma in Education from Uganda Christian University. He has consulted for government ministries, departments and agencies as well as the private sector and the NGO. He is an external examiner for the PhD level for Mbarara University of Science and Technology, (MUST), External examiner for Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi (UMU), Kyambogo University, St Lawrence University and a visiting lecturer for Uganda Christian University Mukono and Ankole Western University (AWU).
