Peace Byamukama Natukunda is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Applied Psychology at Kampala International University. She is a Professional social worker and has used integrated and multilevel approaches to practice at micro, mezzo and macro levels of social work.
At micro-level through case management and counseling services, she contributed to health promotion and infections prevention interventions by Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS) in partnership with Ministry of Health-Uganda Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS) between 2005 and 2013. At mezzo-level, she has worked with groups in communities and corporate institutions; education institutions including those in Secondary Schools, Business and Technical Institutions, Primary Teachers Colleges, Universities; groups in armed forces including Uganda Peoplec�?��?cs Defense Forces, Uganda Prisons and Uganda Police Force. At macro- level she has participated in community mobilization and engagement; Programs/Projects design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning (ME&L); Social Policy analysis and Planning; research including working in multidisciplinary research teams. She is keen at knowledge generation and translation and a published author and co-author in reputable journals.
Peace received a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration (BSWSA) with honors in 2001 and a Master of Social Sector Planning and Management in 2013 from Makerere University, Kampala. She obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Development Studies-Project Planning and Management from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Mbarara Uganda in 2008.
Peace is a diligent, dedicated and committed employee. she was acknowledged and awarded a certificate of outstanding performance by URCS in 2008. Similarly, in 2019 she was awarded a certificate of merit as the best employee from Department of Applied Psychology, Kampala International University for 2018/2019 academic year.
