Friday Christopher has over 10 years of professional experience in teaching and Social Service. He has served as an Assistant lecturer at Metropolitan International University, a Project Officer at African International Christian Ministry, AICM, Kabale on a European Union funded Project from 2019 to 2021 titled ‘Striking a balance: Developing a green economy around L. Bunyonyi basin’ where he was supporting farmers with Climate SMART Agricultural practices and he was successful.
In addition, he worked as an Enrolment Officer in the National Security information System Project(NSIS) under the ministry of Internal Affairs working in Kanungu district from 2014-2017,registering applicants both adults and learners for the national Identity cards and also worked with African College of Commerce and Technology in Kabale district as a lecturer from 2011 to 2019 where he participated in the reviewing of the curriculum for the Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management that was approved and accredited by the National Council for Higher Education. Furthermore, he worked as an update and a Display Officer in Kanungu district under the Uganda Electoral Commission from May 2015-2017. He is currently an Assistant lecturer at KIU in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, department of Political and Administrative studies and at the same time a PhD student at Kampala International University Pursing Management Science, majoring in Public Management and researching on the sustainable land management practices and environmental protection in Rubaya Subcounty, Kabale district in south western Uganda. He holds A Master of Arts Degree in Project Planning and Management, a post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management and A bachelors degree in Environmental Science, all obtained from Kabale University. On his Current Job, he teaches, offers students career guidance, assesses the learners, sets exams, supervises exams and undergraduate research, marks the students’ scripts and gives a progress report to the Head of Department. Furthermore, he has several certificates in computer Applications from Uganda Communications Commission, Certificate in Domestic Electrical repair and Maintenance from Directorate of Industrial Training, certificate in Internal governance, certificate in Resource mobilization ,certificate in Results based Management and Certificate in Financial management from GiZ and certificate in WASH Project life cycle management from WATSAN training and Development Centre in Kenya, Certificate in leadership and Training from Watsan Training and Development Centre, Certificate in Health promotion in Emergencies from WATSAN training and Development Center in Kenya. He has so far published twenty-two (22) Journal articles in the peer reviewed international Journals.
