Allan Wandera is a Teaching Assistant of Bio Chemistry at Kampala International University, Western Campus. Prior to this, he worked as a Laboratory Scientist at Life Link Hospital, in Namuwongo. In 2015, he worked in Community placement at Kamuganguzi HC111, Kabale, and in 2014, he worked with Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital. He has also worked with Soft Power Health, Jinja. Allan holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), a UACE from Dede Secondary School, Namayingo, and a UCE from Kwabuli Secondary School in Namutumba. He is well acquainted with laboratory skills and procedures in any laboratory area including microbiology, hematology, clinical chemistry, parasitology and histopathology, and has also gone ahead to earn a couple of awards including recognition for his participation in the annual Mbarara University Medical Laboratory Students’ Association exhibition in 2014 recognition for his participation in the Uganda Medical Laboratory Technologists’ Association Annual Scientific Conference, and also as the Chairman Mbarara University Samia Student’s Association from 2013 to 2014,where after he acquired a Certificate in Good Clinical and Laboratory Practice (GCLP).
