PhD in Conflict Resolution and Peace Building

Consistent with the African Union’s vision of promoting peace on the continent and in line with KIU’s mission statement promising to ‘respond to societal and educational needs’, the PhD in Conflict Resolution and Peace Building is designed to cultivate critical thinking, rigorous research, insightful analytical, and policy proposal skills with respect to conflict resolution and peace-building.

The programme is designed to equip students with skills in research, negotiation and management for various organisations in Africa. The PhD programme will also train researchers and scholars that will facilitate programmes in Peace and Conflict Studies offered by Ugandan universities.
