On Wednesday, July 26th, 2023, KIU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Hayat Medical University, Somalia.  The partnership will focus majorly on health science programs. KIU offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Medical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The MoU will also focus on areas of collaboration like joint research, joint seminars and conferences, community service projects, staff exchange, and student exchange.
