DR. PRISCA K. G. TIBENDERANA is the Chief University Librarian, Kampala International University (KIU), Uganda. She is also the Deputy University Librarian, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. Tidenderana works as the Information and Documentation Adviser for United Nation African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders (UNAFRI), is a WHO Consultant on setting up Information and Documentation Centers, a Lecturer at the East African School of Librarianship, Makerere University.

Tidenderana holds a PhD in Information Systems which she obtained from Makerere University in 2011, a Master of Legal Studies and a Bachelor of  Legal Studies from the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria-Nigeria in 1988 and 1981. Her research interests lie in The Use of New Technologies in Academic Libraries.

She has published a number of articles in journals and presented conference papers including ‘Information Communication Technologies Acceptance and Use Among University Communities in Uganda: A Model for Hybrid Library Services End-Users’ paper presented at the proceeding of the 4th Annual International Conference on Computing and ICT Research at Makerere University in 2008, and ‘A Modification of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology’ paper presented at the 7th ACM/IEEE Joint Conference on Digital Libraries held at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 2007. She has also attended international conferences like The 8th ACM/IEEE Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-USA in 2008, The 7th ACM/IEEE Joint Conference on Digital Libraries held at Vancouver, British Columbia-Canada in 2007, and the International Conference on Criminal Justice and Police Systems held in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany in 1995.

Tidenderana is a proud associate member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), UK, and a member of the Uganda Library Association; Uganda University Women Association, World Criminal Justice Library Network; and World Criminal Librarians’ Association.
