COVID-19 Updates: Health workers trained on Emergency response to Covid-19

KIU, Main Campus - The Ministry of Health has organised training of COVID-19 Retrieval Teams by Ministry of Health under the Emergency Medical Services Department is ongoing. 

The training, supported by Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, is an enhancement of Critical Care (CC) skills for 40 health workers during emergency response to COVID-19 from both within Kampala and Regional Referral Hospitals.

The Ministry Spokesperson, Dr. Emmanuel Ainebyona, said this is aimed at enhancing skills for the Heath Workers in CC while handling emergencies.

Meanwhile, Uganda has registered 14,574 confirmed cases, 7771 recoveries and discharged plus 133 deaths, as of 10th November 2020.

Kampala International University continues to remind its community to follow the set guidelines by the Ministry of Health.
