KIU, Main Campus - The government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Health, has received health equipments in a bid to boost support of COVID-19 response from Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) with support from MasterCard Foundation.

While receiving this support Dr. Diana Atwine, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, appreciated PSFU and MasterCard Foundation for bridging the gap to ensure good health service delivery for Ugandans.

Among the equipments comprised of 1000 medical beds, 45,000 test kits, 1000 mattresses, 1000 pairs of linen and 6 PCR machines at ministry headquarters in Kampala.

Dr Atwine noted that the donation of the medical beds is timely as Ministry of Health continues to scale up bed capacity at the facilities.

“I want to urge the public that the best way is to be careful, observe the SOPs and ensure that we protect not only ourselves but those around us,” Dr Atwine said.
