COVID-19 Updates: September 4 to 11 in Numbers

The week starting September 4 and ending on September 11 saw an increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Uganda, especially community transmissions. Today we look at the week in figures.

07 câ¬â?? The number of returnees who have tested positive for COVID-19.

14 câ¬â?? The number of COVID-19 deaths this week. The total number of deaths in the country now stands at 49.

15 câ¬â?? The number of truck drivers that have tested positive for COVID-19.

34 câ¬â?? The number of Health workers that have tested positive for COVID-19.

390 câ¬â?? The number of recoveries registered in this period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,998.

435 câ¬â?? The number of positive cases registered in Kampala alone. This is around 42.48% of the national total.

968 câ¬â?? The number of community transmissions (alerts and contacts) of COVID-19. This is 94.5% of the total number of new cases.

1,024 câ¬â?? The number of new COVID-19 cases registered in this period. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 4,377.

27,659 câ¬â?? The total number of samples tested in this period. The total number of samples tested since the pandemic began is now 423,214.
