KIU Holds Orientation for August Intake Postgraduate Students

KIU Main Campus�- Ugandac��?cs total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,069 after the Ministry of Health reported four (4) new cases on Monday.
�
c��?Of the four (4) confirmed cases today, 2 are truck
drivers who arrived from South Sudan and Rwanda via Elegu and Mirama Hills
points of entry respectively. Two are alerts from Amuru and Tororo Districts,c⬝
the Ministry confirmed in a statement.
�
The Ministry says that as of 19th July 2020, a total
number of 2,196 samples have been tested and only four (4) turned out positive.
�
The Ministry added that nine (9) foreign truck drivers at
the border points also tested positive for COVID-19 and were denied entry into
the country.
�
Majority of the drivers (7) were Kenyans while the two were Tanzanians.
To date, Uganda has tested 247,646 samples of COVID-19 and has recorded no deaths.
