KIU, Main Campus - President Yoweri Museveni has, on behalf of the government, pledged to offer food relief to support Karamoja Region which is currently threatened by food shortage caused by locust invasion, floods and the current COVID-19 crisis.

During his meeting with NRM parliamentary and district flag bearers at Morolinga State Lodge in Moroto district, Karamoja Region on Friday, the President promised to engage the Prime Minister's office in an effort to come to the rescue of Karamoja Region.

"I will engage the Prime Minister's office to come to the rescue of Karamoja Region with some relief," the President said.
