About the HDA app: The Health Directory and Authentication (HDA) App is an innovation by a team of Pharmacy students at KIU WC led by Daniel Muwanguzi, a finalist. The App incorporates a drug verification and information system (DIVS), a health facility verification system (HFVS) and a Call Centre.
Under the supervision of Dr Jonans Tusiimire, the Dean of Pharmacy School at KIU WC, the team is evaluating the app's commercial feasibility, health impact, end user acceptance, and sustainability of the three components using a prototype already developed.
Since being selected as finalist, the team led by Daniel has had a camp, and even now another program is going on, online. They have a mentor from Germany giving assistance, the mentor is based in Uganda.
