The International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA),
Law Libraries Section, in conjunction with the International Association of Law Libraries (IALL) are organising a Conference for law Librarians in Anglophone Africa. The conference is to empower law librarians to utilize the potential of open access legal sources in legal research. It is also to build a network of law librarians across Africa and share knowledge and assist each other in solving practical legal research questions.
Theme : Open Access for Legal Research in Africa.
Venue : Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.
Dates : December 6 th and 7 th , 2016.
Two Librarians from Kampala International University are expected to attend the Conference; Mr. Dennis Kakande, the Law Librarian, KIU Dar-es- Salaam Campus and Ms. Elizabeth Alikoba, the Law Librarian in The IBML. Mr. Kakande is fully sponsored by the conference organisers, and will present a paper titled Factors Hindering Effective Usage and Access of Electronic Law Resources in Tanzania Universities.
