The Directorate of Research, Innovation, Consultancy, and Extensions (D-RICE), of Kampala International University (KIU), is organizing a lecture titled "Internationalization and Innovations in Research and Resource Mobilsation for Impact", on Friday 13th December 2019, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, at the Senate Board Room (IBML), in the university main campus.
The guest speaker for the lecture will be Dr. Akanimo Odon; Africa Strategy Advisor, Lancaster University, UK. Dr. Odon is an International Business and Strategy Development Expert. He specializes in education and training, energy and environment, oil and gas, media, charities and government. Originally from Nigeria, he resides in England, and he is the CEO of Envirofly Consulting Limited, Co-founder of Xn Foundation and also the founder of Academia for Green Africa Initiative. Outside of regular work, he is a poet, novelist and an award-winning author and a line producer.
Dr Odon is a DFID Scholar and a recipient of the British Council’s best UK international student Shine Award in 2006. He is also a Stanford University REE Fellowship Awardee and the Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (YES) Award recipient in a programme sponsored by BBSRC, Unilever, BIA, Lonza and a host of other reputable companies. Dr. Odon was awarded with the Public Service Award and Nigerian Centenary Award Committee, as One of the 2015 Most Influential Nigerians in the Diaspora.
