Kampala International University’s Main Campus located in Kansanga has for eleven years hosted the Engineering Faculty since its charter in 2009.

However, at the beginning of this year, the university announced a transfer of most of the engineering departments to her sister campus located in Ishaka-Bushenyi, Western Uganda.

The departments transferred include Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Telecom Engineering and Department of Computer Engineering. Others including the Department of Industrial Chemistry and Biological sciences are still being hosted by the main campus.

Kanakulya Fred, MP of School of Engineering, affirms that "students appreciate the effort the university has put in to ensure that they are well facilitated with the equipment they need to succeed."
