KIU Western Campus cā¬ā?? Students from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Kampala International University - Western Campus, have been advised to live responsibly as regards their sexual lives.
This message was passed to them by Oscar Gumisiriza, the Team Leader, cā¬Å?She Decides" - KIU WC, a project supported by Reproductive Health Uganda, during a Health Education Talk on Wednesday 18th, March at the Engineering Faculty.
The Health Talk was preceded by free HIV Counseling and Testing for Engineering students, in which dozens participated.
Simon Mambo, also a member of the cā¬Å?She Decidescā¬ team urged students to be aware of how dangerous HIV is and how they should protect themselves against the scourge of AIDS.
cā¬Å?We want to increase access to comprehensive sex education by University students because we know they are a high risk group,cā¬ Mambo later said of the project.
The Vice-President of SEAS, Yusuf Ataho, was happy with the talk given to them by the team.
cā¬Å?If we get continued access to such information, we shall surely overcome HIV/AIDS, which is a big problem among the youth," Ataho said.
The Health Education Talk was closed by a presentation on Family Planning Methods by Gumisiriza.
