KIU, Main Campus-On Tuesday 4th March 2023, KIU hosted the first of a series of community workshops focused on Web 3, Blockchain and smart contracts. This workshop was organized by the School of Mathematics and Computing (SOMAC) in partnership with Gear Protocol and Cars Network.
The training aimed at onboarding more curious blockchain enthusiasts on the network. The students were introduced to the concept of BlockChain technology and how to use blockchain for secure financial transactions.
These workshops aim to provide a platform for future developers to come together and engage in discussions about these cutting-edge technologies. As the world becomes increasingly digital, it's essential that students gain a better understanding of these technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
Through these workshops, participants will be able to develop a better understanding of Web3, blockchain, and smart contracts, and how they can be used to create innovative solutions for the future.
The workshops will be held at various locations in Uganda and will cover a range of topics, including but not limited to blockchain basics, smart contract development, and the role of Web3 in decentralized applications.
