KIU, Main Campus-KIU Law Society president Reagan David Kaddu has described Saturday's law run as a success though he noted that the number of runners was a bit lesser than expected. He said that the activity achieved its main objective of raising funds.

Over 70 Students participated in Saturday's eight Kilometer run despite having over 130 individuals on the list of those who had bought tickets for the activity. The good thing is that the intended purpose was achieved, according to the KIU Law Society president.

"I want to first of all thank everyone who bought our tickets and those who managed to take part in the run. We couldn't succeed without you," he said.

"Saturday's run was a success because we sold over 200 tickets despite having only a few people taking to the road." President Kaddu said.

Saturday's run was flagged off by the Law Society patroness Dr.Jennifer Ogol Ameo and Madam Anitah Malinga, the head of the career at KIU.

It was concluded with a series of aerobics and this just doubled the excitement of both the participants and the revelers. The aerobics that featured some popular dance moves marked the end of the 2022 law run in a spectacular style.

The money collected from the sold tickets will be used to organize the inter-clast moot competition estimated to cost around seven Million shillings.  President Kaddu said that the other money to complete their project will come from the forthcoming car wash activity.

This year's edition of the inter-class moot tournament will be graced by several dignitaries in the legal profession including Magistrates, permanent city lawyers among others, and this according to Kaddu demands them to organize the event to meet the status of the guests hence the need for enough resources.

President Kaddu also congratulated the team that won an external moot at Makerere University on Friday. He said was too proud of them all.

"I congratulate the team that brought us success in the external moot. I've been there before and I know what it takes," he noted

"I wasn't surprised, I Know we are the best and I am very proud of the team. We have so many powerful lawyers in KIU. That's why we are winning," he added.
