KIU Main Campus - On Thursday, September 14th, 2023, Kampala International University signed a Collaboration Agreement with LyfeFund Innovation Technologies. This collaboration aims to assist prospective graduate students at KIU who are considering pursuing their studies in global North countries by providing them with valuable guidance on accessing international scholarship opportunities.
During the signing ceremony, KIU was represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo, while LyfeFund was represented by the Regional Sales Manager, Ms. Prossy Namatovu.
Over the years, LyfeFund has been equipping students with the knowledge and skills to access scholarships through their Masterclasses. They support those who might otherwise be unable to pursue further education. The LyfeFund Scholarship Masterclass provides students with the essential knowledge needed to explore scholarship opportunities.
According to the Organization, "In the United States, an astonishing $100 million in scholarship funds goes unclaimed annually, often due to a lack of applicants, as reported by the National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA). In Canada, there have been instances where over $20 million in scholarship funds remained unused, as noted by ScholarshipsCanada. Additionally, countries like Germany offer tuition-free education, and South Korea is actively seeking to attract 300,000 international students by 2027 through scholarship programs."
