KIU,Main Campus-Members of KIU Tax Justice Club have begun serious preparations ahead of Interuniversity interface championship debate semifinals on Wednesday May 26th 2022 between 2 and 4pm EAT.
The debate organised by the center for Constitutional governance, will continue via zoom for the first round of semifinals and will go physical on 16th June when the finalists shall gather at Arch Apartments in Ntinda to witness a clash of intellectual gladiators.
The first round of the semifinals will be in form of a dialogue involving four panelists and the event will be broadcast live on Civic space television.Each team has been urged to prepare four panelists for the event.
Despite being in the examination period, Team KIU is making sure the participants are kept in the right mind through mentorship sessions and encouraging each other to invest in research using the various platforms.
"Currently most of the team members are focused on performing well in the exams..however as you know it has been a jounery of success till the semi finals as team kiu,as we prepare for the competition," Titus Ogutu, President,KIU Tax Justice Club said.
"We have drawn up sessions with our mentors such Uwase Brenda and many others that have endured that we keep progressing from one platform to anothe. On our individual part, we are doing research on the topic to make sure we give the best as usual," he added.
Titus Ogutu,Jonnathan Areeba, Joanitah Ngabirano, Judith Muvara make the four member team that will represent the club and KIU in the semifinals in 26th may 2022.
