KIU Teso Students Association Hold Elections

KIU, Main Campus - Democracy in any society is paramount. Therefore the Teso Students Association (TESA) of Kampala International University (KIU) has organized elections for change of regime as a sign of a peaceful transition of power.


Ekalam Joseph, Chairman Electoral Commission TESA and current Speaker said, "There  was a big turn up of students compared to the previous elections held."


Joseph further urged students to be peaceful and avoid segregation so as to promote unity and harmony among themselves.


Ojora Ibrahim, a member of the association, says that the elections have removed the issue of discrimination that threatened to rare its ugly head within the association.


Students are encouraged to exercise their rights and participate in elections when organized.
