KIU, Main Campus - On 1st March 2020, Kampala International University (KIU) took Muteesa 1 Royal University to the curve with a 7 - 4 thriller which saw them move up to the sixth position in the National University Beach Soccer League. 

Star-man, Ishoke Isaac, scored five times, taking his season tally up to 17 goals and five behind the league's top scorer, Faizo Sekiti of Wolves Beach Soccer Club, who stands at 22 goals. Okolo Kinoso and Muftau Yunusu scored a goal each to complete the riot.

KIU's fine end to the first round left them in the sixth position at 12 points, 13 points behind the leaders Buganda Royal Institute at 25 points.

This year's National Beach Soccer League features 13 teams who have so far played each other once to complete the first round. All teams will go into a short break before the return legs in the second round.
