World Creativity and Innovation Day: This is a United Nations day celebrated every 21st of April to raise awareness about the importance of creativity and innovation in problem-solving with respect to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It was first celebrated in 2018.

1. In 1989, renowned Ugandan musician Philly Bongole Lutaaya (pictured above)met Makerere University Students and pronounced that he is living with HIV/AIDS. This gesture is considered as the groundbreaking event in breaking the silence about peoplecâ¬â?cs status. It also reduced stigma and encouraged more people with HIV/AIDS to live positively.
2. In 1926, Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Britain, was born and in 1910, Mark Twain, the famous American author famous for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, died.
3. In 1960 Brasilia became the capital city of Brazil, replacing Rio de Janeiro
4. In 1989, thousands of people marched into Tiananmen square to support students who were demanding for political freedoms.
