KIU, Main Campus-The KIU School of Law showcased an exceptional performance, clinching a thrilling 2-1 victory against Cavendish University in the Finals of the 2024 Inter-University Law Faculty Football Gala at Nkumba University in Entebbe on Saturday.

Goals from Joshua Muyinza and Dangote sealed the win for KIU, securing their well-deserved triumph over their neighbors.

While Cavendish University displayed commendable spirit, their efforts culminated in a silver medal.

This victory marks KIU's second triumph in the tournament within three years, following their 2022 victory over Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) with a 4-1 win in spot kicks.

Dominating Group B, KIU's journey began on February 16, 2024, with just one loss throughout the entire tournament, a narrow 1-0 defeat to Uganda Pentecostal University in the group stages.

A standout moment for KIU was Steven Waira's inspired performance, propelling them to a decisive 3-0 victory over IUIU, and determining the group's leadership. Waira's hat-trick stood out as the sole instance of such brilliance in the entire tournament.
