KIU Main Campus: Hassan Sheikh Ali, an international student from Somalia, is one of many students eagerly awaiting KIU’s 30th graduation ceremony, set for November 23rd, 2024. Formerly a senior advisor for the KIU Somali Community, Hassan emphasizes that advancing one’s education is an accomplishment that benefits both the individual and their community.

"I advise my fellow graduands to keep advancing their studies in order to be fruitful people to their families and communities," he shared.

Before applying for the Master of Arts in Statistics, Hassan was attracted to KIU's high ranking in East Africa and inspired by the success of several KIU alumni who hold leadership positions in Somalia. He fondly recalls his time on campus, where his role as Senior Advisor for the KIU Somali Community offered him the chance to serve selflessly.

Looking forward, Hassan plans to contribute to the development of statistical institutions in Somalia.
