KIU, Main Campus - Miriam Kirabo Nabasigule, a fourth-year student of Law is using the COVID-19 lockdown to add to her intellectual arsenal by gathering more legal knowledge and learning a range of new skills.
Nabasigule says she is doing a lot of reading and engaging in interactions that can improve her academic quality and refine her intellectual standing.
"I am doing a lot of reading in the lockdown. I read a lot of self-help books and attend different Zoom meetings for my career growth,” she disclosed to this website in a virtual interview.
She is hopeful that through self-help books and attending different zoom meetings, she will be able to gather new ideas which she says are vital for her career growth.
Apart from reading self-help books and attending zoom lectures, Nabasigule is also engaged in online cooking lessons. This is because she loves cooking.
"I love cooking so I am taking some cooking lessons from different YouTube channels to better my cooking skills, especially confectioneries," she revealed.
She however advised her fellow students to embrace the change because the world is not going back.
"The world is not going back, it's the new normal. Let's embrace the change because it is the least we can do."
