On 23rd August 2022, students from different colleges and schools turned up in large numbers to be part of the student mentorship programme that will run up to November 2022.

Students were taken through the details and the content of the 4 Months Mentorship Programme.

Through the programme, students will be helped to build strong morals and character by building a strong value system in order to be change agents of transformation in their communities.

According to Ms Anita Muhairwe Malinga, the career and Skills Programme Coordinator students will also be trained in different areas such as Leadership, Financial Literacy, Career readiness and preparation and Business Start-up Skills.

“The Hands-on skills are meant to empower them to startup businesses that can enable them attain a livelihood,” Ms Anita Muhairwe Malinga said.

She adds that students will work on different hands-on projects that will be exhibited at the end of the Programme.

The Mentorship programme is conducted in partnership with different industry players, companies, CBOs and NGOs that are conducting these different sessions.
