John Felix Opio is the ICT Lead Supervisor at KIU. He is a demonstrated achiever with exceptional knowledge and experience in system analysis, design, development, and maintenance.
Felix holds a Master of Science Degree in Software Engineering, and Bachelorscâ¬â?c Degree in Computer Engineering from Kampala International University. . Felix designed and developed the first Online Results and Registration system, Staff Intraweb, and the current Online Application Portal for Kampala International University (KIU). He also carried out the required engineering, design, and development of the above mentioned web applications. He planned and executed the deployment of the above-mentioned system, took charge of maintenance and evolution of the above mentioned web applications. Felix also designed and developed the first websites for College of Applied Sciences & Technology, and the one for College of Education, Open, Distance & eLearning of Kampala International University, and was involved in the administration and improvement of the above-mentioned websites. He was involved in the planning, design, and development of the current Kampala International Universitycâ¬â?cs Website.
In 2015, Felix worked with the Director of ICT to formulate ICT policy for the ICT Department of KIU. He has designed and developed websites for organizations and companies like Ssingold Minerscâ¬â?c Association, Daniker International Ltd, The Royal Publications, Myride Uganda Ltd, Revolutionaryways, Teso Religious Leadercâ¬â?cs Effort for Peace and Reconciliation, Teso Women Peace Activists, the Hursey Resort, International Institute for Human Security, Divine Heritage Ministries, and Women with a Mission, and has also offered training and consultancy services regarding website design, development, and administration.
