Dr. Malik M is Senior lecturer at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, specifically in the department of Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering and, additionally he is Manager in Directorate of Research, Innovations, Consultancy and Extensions at Kampala International University. 

 Malik M received his B.Eng. Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, INDIA and M.Tech degree in Applied Electronics from PRIST University, INDIA in 2009 and 2013 respectively. He obtained his PhD degree from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam in 2019. He also has more than seven years’ experience as a Teaching Faculty at various leading Private Institutions in INDIA.

In addition, He has various publications in both national and international journals. His current researches interests are include Smart Sensors, Image processing, Machine Learning and Internet of Things (IOT). 

He attained various certificates such as faculty development events from Periyar Maniammai University which is newly named as Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology and he also attained reward as a best research contributor for the collaboration project with Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology (AIIT), Japan from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).

With all his strong foundation and vast experience in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, he is in the right position to guide and shape the minds of the future as well as creating sustainable solutions for a better, Uganda, Africa and the world at large here at KIU where we continues to explore the heights!
