Peter Benjamin Aina is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the Kampala International University, Kampala where he has been a faculty member since 2016. He is the former current Head of Department, Department of Physical Sciences.
Peter baged his Ph.D Degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. His B.Sc(Ed) and M.Sc degrees were obtained from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. He specialized in numerical analysis, differential equations and modelling. His research work covers a broad range of topics including computational methods, asymptotic techniques, numerical analysis, heat and mass transfer, non-Newtonian fluids, gravity flows, flows through porous media, combustion theory, thermal radiation, mathematical modelling, electro-kinetic flow, non-isothermal flow, malaria dynamics, etc. The main objective of his research work is to use mathematical theories and methodologies to gain more insights into the dynamics of various scientific phenomena, engineering and biological systems which are of industrial, environmental, medical and social interests.
Peter has published articles in reputable Journals. He has presented papers at both national and international conferences. He has served as the Chair for Doctoral Committee and Mathematics Curriculum (undergraduate & graduate programmes). He has special interest in learning new things in his fields of interest. He enjoyed reading, travelling and classical music.
