Sendegeya Al – Mas, PhD is a senior lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Kampala International University. He is a seasoned academic and has experience working with several reputable institutions all over Africa.
He holds a PhD (Power Systems) from Makerere University Uganda, a Tech. Licentiate Degree (Power Systems) from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, a Certificate in Small-Scale Hydropower Engineering from Chubu Electric Power Co. Nagoya Japan, a Certificate, Solar Energy Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, a Master of Science in Renewable Energy, Oldenburg University, Germany and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Makerere University, Uganda.
He is such an accomplished academician and he has a solid background to back it up, he has held very prestigious posts among which are; Senior Lecturer at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), Head of Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Namibia University of Science and Technology, he also developed a Master programme in Sustainable Energy Systems for the EDULINK-ACP-EU Project (Sothern African Sustainable Energy Initiative, SASEI), he was a Visiting Lecturer in Butare University, Rwanda teaching a course “Introduction to Telecommunication Systems”, he has also been a Reviewer for the book “The Science of Renewable Energy, Second Edition by Frank R. Spellman ”as published by CRC Press/Taylor & Francis, additionally, he is currently a member of Editorial Board for the Journal “Journal of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency of Southern Africa” as well as being a frequent visiting Lecturer for courses in Sustainable Energy at the National University of Lesotho (NUL) under the Department of Physics. He is also External Examiner for Namibia University of Science and Technology and Makerere University.
