Chinaza Godswill Awuchi, Ph.D. Scholar, is a Lecturer and Researcher at the School of Natural and Applied Sciences, specifically in the Department of Physical Sciences at Kampala International University.
He attained his BSc in Food Science and Technology from Abia State University Uturu, Abia State, Nigeria; MSc in Food Chemistry and Nutrition from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria; and currently a Ph.D. Scholar.
He has a keen interest in his field and is currently doing research on “the impacts of plastic pollution on the sustainability of seafood value chain and human physiology and the solutions” and “the assessment of levels of mycotoxins in grains grown in Nigeria and their possible elimination by traditional and industrial processes.” However, his other research interests include research areas related to food science and nutrition, biotechnology, human nutrition, food chemistry, brewing science, solutions to the problem of food and nutrition insecurity.
He is affiliated with various prestigious professional organizations like; the Nutrition Society of Nigeria, the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology, the International Journal of Advanced Academic Research (IJAAR), and the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), United States Department of State.
With all his strong foundation and vast experience in the Physical Sciences field, he is in the right position to guide and shape the minds of the future as well as creating sustainable solutions for a better, Uganda, Africa, and the world at large here at KIU where we continue to explore the heights!
