Patrick Kabanda is an Assistant lecturer at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Kampala International University where his roles include; Mentoring younger academicians and teaching undergraduate students courses such as digital electronics, advanced logic circuits, sensors and transducers, electrical engineering science and electrical energy utilization, carrying out progressive assessments and marking examinations script, developing marking schemes for the exams/tests ,setting, moderation, and invigilation of university examinations, research and publication of academic articles in area of specialization and supervision of teaching assistants to ensure effective execution of their assigned duties.
Patrick is a charismatic and efficient professional, who can drive profitability improvement through waste elimination and quality enhancement. He can understand big-picture concepts and dive into the detail needed to implement them. His performance is results-driven and as a quick learner, he is fast at absorbing new ideas and adapting to changing scenarios.
He has a Masters of Science in Oil and Gas Engineering (First Class) Distinction, from the China University of Petroleum and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (First Class) Honors, from Makerere University Uganda. Besides, he has experience working with various reputable organizations like Kakira Sugar Limited, Uganda.
He has a number of publications in both International and local journals such as the Journal of Power and Energy Engineering, he is also a member of the SPE Young Professionals and has received several awards like the 1st prize award for Academic Excellence, Masters scholarship from the China University of Petroleum and the Masters of Science in Oil and Gas Engineering Scholarship from the China National Offshore Oil Corporation respectively.
With the his experience, determination and Academic prowess, Patrick is in the right position to train, guide and shape the minds of the future generations here at Kampala International University where we continue to explore the Heights!
