BUSINGYE SUSAN is a Lecturer at the Department of Business and Management at Kampala International University (KIU) where she prepares and selects instructional materials and aids, delivers lectures in classes assigned, and supervises the students in their research. She has also served as a Part-time Lecturer at the Makerere University Business School from 2006 to 2010. Susan has worked as the KIU Human Resources Officer implementing the human resource strategy, and providing leadership and supervisory support to the staff training and development function.
Busingye Susan holds a Master of Business Administration (HRM), and a Bachelor of Business Administration, which she obtained at the Kampala International University in 2006 and 2004 respectively. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Procurement and supply Chain Management which she obtained in 2002. Susan has attended a number of trainings including the Information Competence and Management, Training of Trainers workshop on MDG’s, Curriculum Development and Pedagogy Workshop, and the Start hub Academy (Entrepreneurship Workshop).
She has published and co-published a number of academic journal papers including the Foreign Entry Modes as a Function of Age among small businesses in Kampala-Uganda in the Journal of Humanities and Social science (2017), and the Internationalization Propensity of small scale enterprises in Kampala-Uganda in the IOSR Journal of Business and Management (2016).
She possesses strong presentation and training skills, is proficient ant efficient in communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, and can strategically plan and organise while offering leadership to her peers. She enjoys watching developmental programmes and documentaries on management, reading documents and journals on the management of human resources, and playing hockey.
