SSENYONJO JOHN serves as a System Administrator and Instructor Hands-on training centre at Kampala International University. He started working as a system administrator in 2008 at Kampala International University in the same year of his graduation with a Bachelors Degree in Information technology. In 2010, he brought the idea of starting up a training centre, which was named Hands-on training centre and through it, students began acquiring a variety of practical skills that enabled many to compete favourably in the labour markets.
Following a career in technology, he went ahead to do Masters in Information Management Systems and he researched on Internet Banking Readiness Index in Uganda. His successes, failures, and detours have provided him with a deep understanding of issues around Network performances, Systems administration, relevance of practical skills to students, entrepreneurship strategic focus and new technologies in educational environments.
At ease working as an integral and dynamic team player, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and to build productive working relationship, he spearheaded the setting up of a network for the Hospital Management System Deployment Ishaka-Western Campus, Designing Engineering Labs Western campus, Medical E-lab, setting up computers labs in the training Centers like Mubende & Hoima. Fine-tunned also computer labs in the Iddi Basajjabalaba Memorial Library (one of the best in Africa).
As a mentor, Ssenyonjo John has technically advised many students from different Universities in Uganda around cultivating technology to address global technological challenges through practical-based internship trainings.
