WAAKO FRED is a Lecturer at the Kampala International University (KIU) where he develops course files, sets and marks exams, and submits results. He is also a part-time lecturer at the YMCA Kampala Branch. Fred possesses excellent catering and hospitality skills gained through training and experience, interpersonal skills, self-motivation, result orientation, and self reliance. He also possesses a good customer care and client relationship which he gained from Uganda Management Institute workshops and other work places. He has had vast exposure and experience resulting into promotions to higher levels.
Fred obtained his Masters Degree of Business Administration and his Bachelor’s Degree of catering and Hotel Management from Makerere University in 2010 and 2005 respectively. He also holds a Diploma in Hotel and Institutional Catering which he obtained from the National College of Business Studies in 1992. He has also received a number of short course trainings including a pedagogical training from Makerere Business School (MUBS), and a Customer Care and Client Relationship training from the Uganda Management Institute (UMI) in Kampala.
He was also a member of the Makerere University Hospitality Students Association -MUHOSA (2002 – 2005), and the Drama secretary of the Christian Union – Nakawa(1990 – 1992). He enjoys touring new places, listening to gospel music, and takes pride in overcoming challenges.
