RITAH KICONCO is a Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences housed in the School of Allied Health Science at Kampala International University (Western Campus). She is also a Medical Laboratory specialist at Kampala International University Teaching Hospital's clinical laboratory.
Ritah was awarded a Master of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MMLS) degree in Clinical Chemistry in 2018 from Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Prior, she had obtained her Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences in 2013 from Kampala International University. She is now an aspiring visiting student research fellow under the Fulbright Foreign Students Program 2019/2020, a venture intended to enhance her grip in research concepts and also usher her into her future career plans including pursuing Ph.D. studies.
Ritah is registered and licensed as a Medical Laboratory Specialist with Uganda Allied Health Professionals' Council (AHPC). She holds a membership with several local and international professional bodies including African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) and Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). She is currently an Examination Coordinator, a Program Assessor and a Chief Invigilator in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, School of Allied Health Sciences at Kampala International University, all positions she was selected for on merit because of her moral principles, hard work and remarkable zeal of performance.
Ritah is also a part-time lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences under the Faculty of Medicine at Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
