Dr. (Mrs.) Anumaka, Ijeoma Blessing is an Associate Professor, College of Education, Open, Distance and E learning, Kampala International University (KIU). Ijeoma lectures and does research in Higher Educational Assessment, Educational Policy and Educational Management, Higher education and on Gender related issues.
Ijeoma graduated in B.Sc Education/Zoology, from University of Nigeria Nsukka and obtained Masters in Educational Management and Planning from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port-Harcourt (RSUST,PH) where she further bagged a PhD in Educational Management.
Prior to her appointment as Senior Lecturer, Kampala International University (KIU) in 2011, she was the Registrar and CEO, Institute of Planning Nigeria, Lagos and also a Senior Lecturer at Open University, Lagos Nigeria. In KIU, she has served as Secretary to University Research and Grant Committee, Head of Department-Education Foundations, Director of Academic Affair/Academic Registrar and presently, Chairman of Doctoral Committee and Chairman for Research and Publication Committee for College of Education, Open Distance and E Learning. Ijeoma serves as a member of Council and Advisory committee in some National and International Universities. Ijeoma served as a member of International Expert Advisory Board, Faculty of Education, University of Mumbai, Indian Society of Technical Education; from 2016 to 2017.
Ijeoma has many published research works, internationally and locally with a cutting edge in Higher Education, Policy, legal issues and gender issues. Ijeoma is an international conference speaker and has presented papers in many academic and ministerial conferences (citing one http://efogeinternational.org/). She also loves public lectures (see link; aru.ac.ug/aru-holds-a-public-lecture-on-integrating). Ijeoma as a laureates was selected to present her research paper and subsequently appointed as Team member; working on Higher Education Policy Initiative (HEPI) by Council for Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) in April 2018; this project is on-going. Ijeoma serves in many notable international and professional organizations such as Association of Institutional Research, Tallahassee, USA.; Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP), An Affiliate of Commonwealth Council For Educational Administration & Management (CCEAM), to mention a few.
Ijeoma is happily married to Nelson Anumaka and has many children and a grandchild. She is a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and she has initiated and founded Women and Youth focused Organizations such as Team Deborah (helping Women and Children in prisons in Uganda), Club18Plus, whose vision is connecting individuals to sustainable healthier and wealthier life style, to alleviate poverty; more especially in remote communities in Uganda. She is also an Associate Pastor and Dean, Kingdom Fountain Bible Institute Kampala, Uganda.
