Edward Ssali is an Assistant Postgraduate and Research Librarian at The Iddi Basajjabalaba Memorial Library of Kampala International University since April of 2019. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Kampala International University in 2018. From His post, Edward has succeeded in being a reliable, self-motivated, trustworthy, willing to work and get exposed to the job market with people of different caliber despite the challenges.
He is also able to work on own initiative or as part of a team, Edward is equipped with effective problem resolution abilities dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and can deal with administrative duties competently. He acquired a working knowledge of computer Applications especially graphics designing and data management applications in 2014 at Khim Investments and Graphics Solutions at Nasser Road.
He participated in the SOCY Research Project in 2018 which is based on improving the health, nutrition, education, and psychosocial wellbeing of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and youth, as well as reducing abuse, exploitation, and neglect among this population supported by USAID and Catholic Relief Services (CRS). He undertook a research in 2018 about a study of the information seeking behavior of undergraduate students of Kampala International University in fulfilment for his BLIS at KIU.
In addition to his profession, Edward is a farmer and a poultry keeper back at his home village in Kayunga District.
