KYOMUHANGI KARWANA JOVIA is the Dean of Students at Kampala International University (KIU). Prior to that, she worked as the Dean of Students, the Chairperson Students Disciplinary Committee, and a Member of the University Senate at the International University of East Africa (IUEA). She is a self-motivated, creative, innovative, organized, registered teacher and confirmed by the Ministry of Education and Sports with experience of more than 18 years as a Secondary school Teacher and 14 years as a University Dean of Students, Deputy Dean of students and a Lecturer.
She holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration and Management from at Kampala International University, and a Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Secondary Education both from Makerere University. She has published a number of online and print articles in journals, and even participated in workshops/seminars like The Annual Uganda Deans of Students’ forum Conference held at Uganda Martyrs University main Campus Nkozi.
Kyomuhangi is a good communicator, problem solver, and a time manager who is disciplined with integrity, a big eye on detail, and able to consider all options with an open mind before making decisions. She is also ably works in multicultural environments, and is quite the analytical thinker. Her focus is on education issues, guidance & counselling, and the institutional image in and outside the institution.
