KIU among 18 African Universities at the International Humanitarian law moot court competition

KIU, Main Campus-The competition organised by Firdous Integrated services limited in partnership with Adekunle Ajasin and Kwara State Universities' faculties of law started on the 6th of June and will end on 19th June 2022. This is the first of its kind on the African Continent.

KIU has been joined by Uganda Christian University, Bishop Stuart, and Islamic University in Uganda to make it three Universities representing the Pearl of Africa.

The moot competition is part of a FIS initiative in conflict resolution in Africa. The students will argue a hypothetical case before International Humanitarian law experts.

Other Universities in the competition include the University of Rwanda, Moi University, University of Dar es Salaam, Moshi Co-operative University, University of Illorin, Kwara State University, American University in Nigeria, Ahmadu Bello University, Adekunle Ajasin University, University of Lusaka, University of Forthare, University of Juba, Bahir Dar University, University of Lay Adventist of Kigali.
