KIU Ranked Among Best Science Universities in Uganda

KIU, Main Campus - Kampala International University has been ranked among the 50 best Science Universities in Uganda.

The Science Citation Index updated the list of best university scientists globally. With the new updates, a new list of the best scientists in Uganda has been revealed.

According to the list, Kampala International University has more than 5 lecturers appearing including; Josephat Muhozi Rugemalira from Social Sciences and George W. Nasinyama from Veterinary Sciences & Veterinary Medicine.

Others include; Elizabeth Mutoni from Economics & Econometrics, Kennedy Onyelowe from Engineering & Technology, Edmund Eriya Mugabi Bukenya from Economics & Econometrics, and Japhet Maftal Minjas from Agriculture & Forestry.

In order to come up with the list, the Science Citation Index based on the number of research journals produced by lecturers from different universities.

The Science Citation Index was launched in 1964 and currently covers more than 9,200 notable and significant journals, across 178 disciplines, from 1900 to date. 

These are alternatively described as the world’s leading journals of science and technology, because of a rigorous selection process.
